Review of Your Beautiful Purpose

This is an excellent book that is practical and encouraging.  It is easy to read and flows from one chapter to the next with plenty of helpful advice on finding your purpose.  I gave this book 5/5 stars.  I read the book in one sitting and then went back and answered the questions that were found at the end of each chapter.  This book would be great to use in a Bible Study Group, Sunday School Class or just for your own personal devotions.  I would recommend all women read this book.  You will be encouraged and definitely grow in your relationship with the Lord and your family.

Review of Pocket Your Dollars

This book has plenty of tips on ways to save your money and not overspend.  The best parts of the book are the many examples.  You will most likely find some story that you can relate to.  Whether it is how to not treat yourself to something every time you get a paycheck to learning how to set money aside before it goes into your spending account you will get practical advice in the book.  I gave this book 4/5 stars.  I liked how easy it was to read and follow.  I actually got bored a few times and that is why I gave it a lower rating.  I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning ways to save and stay on a budget.

Review of Isn't It Time For A Coffee Break?

This book has meaningful examples from the author’s life that will help you in your day to day struggles.  It is mostly about how to get and keep friendships with other women.  I gave this book 4/5 stars.  I thought the idea of the book was great.  I did at times, however, feel like the author was over explaining some of her points.  Sometimes it felt like she was writing to a teenager instead of an adult.  Overall it was a helpful book with practical advice.  I would recommend the book to anyone wanting to grow their friendships with other Christian women.  I would also recommend this book for a Bible Study or Sunday School Class to use.

Review of A Snowglobe Christmas

A Snowglobe Christmas -
        By: Linda Goodnight, Lissa Manley

This is actually two short stories that take place around Christmas.  Because the stories are short you really don’t get a chance to fall in love with the main characters.  However, the stories were entertaining and held my interest.  I gave this book 4/5 stars.  I liked that they were centered around Christmas time and that they had a Christian theme throughout.  I did wish the stories had been separated into two books as that would have given the authors a better chance to develop the plot and characters.  That said, the stories were a great escape.  I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a Christmas themed Christian romance book to read.

Review of Second Chance in Dry Creek

Second Chance in Dry Creek -
        By: Janet Tronstad
This book follows a woman who goes through a hard time in a relationship.  She decided to rebuild her life, thinking she could never be truly happy.  As you get to know the main character of Gracie you can’t help but cheer her on!   As she begins to have feelings for an old friend you wonder if she will give in or give up!  I gave this book 5/5 stars.  I thought the characters were likable and their conversations flowed.  The setting did not really help the story and in reality I felt like it could have been set anywhere.  I did, however, enjoy the idea of the book that everyone deserves love and happiness no matter their past circumstances.  I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to read a Christian romance that highlights redemption.

Review of Christmas Stalking

Christmas Stalking

What a great adventure!  I enjoyed the story line of a girl being a protector!  Sometimes the women in these short romances can come across as helpless.  This character is written as a strong woman who needs a little help not a helpless woman who can’t take care of herself.  I gave this book 5/5 stars.  I thought the story was unique and the characters entertaining.  I liked how the main characters of Ellie and Colt interacted with each other.  It was believable that they started to like each other.  Their conversations were well written and kept me reading to find out what would happen to them next.  This book is part of the Guardians, Inc series.  You do not have to read any of the others to enjoy this one.  It is a great series though and I have enjoyed each one I have read.  I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a Christian romance that has plenty of suspense.
