Review of Final Resort

Final Resort
Final Resort is written by Dana Mentink.

Ava watches as her uncle is kidnapped, helpless to do anything.  What did he want her to find when he had asked her to meet him on top of the resorts mountain?  Will treasure seeker and old friend Luca be able to help?  So is the plot of this Love Inspired Suspense book.  There is some religion found in the story but not enough to be called in your face.

I gave this book 4/5 stars.  I liked the action even the deaths that take place add to the story.  I thought the characters were not developed well and could have had more heart.  I also did not like the ending.  I put all this effort into following the adventure and then was let down with the completion of it.  However, this is just my opinion you may still enjoy the story for what it is, a simple love story with a bit of mystery.

I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading.  I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

Review of The Reluctant Earl

The Reluctant Earl (Love Inspired Historical)
The Reluctant Earl is written by C.J. Chase.

I loved this book and read it in one sitting! From the first page you will want to read more about what is happening with these characters.  The two main characters, Leah and Julian, relationship develops well and is actually believable.

I gave this book 5/5 stars.  The setting is awesome and the characters are likable.  I loved how the story unfolded.  I enjoyed everything about this story.  If you like Regency set stories this book is for you.  If you like a little intrigue with your romance then this book is also for you!  This book is another great Christian romance by Love Inspired.  I can’t wait to read another story by this author.

ROCB: Search and Rescue

Product Details
Review of Childrens Book Search and Rescue by Jim Ollhoff

This was a very informative book and I gave it 5/5 stars.  I thought the information about these special teams was well presented.  It was written in an easy to understand format for the young reader.  I thought the pictures fit the information on the page they were shown.  There is an interview with a worker that answers some great questions.  There is even a chapter on FEMA.  I would recommend this book to any child who wants to learn how a search and rescue team works.  This book offers great information that could be used to write a research paper for any elementary age student.

ROCB: Marley, Firehouse Dog

Marley: Firehouse Dog (I Can Read Book 2)
Review of Childrens Book Marley, Firehouse Dog

Does your child like firehouses, dogs or firemen?  If so they will enjoy this story!  I gave this book 5/5 stars.  I have read most of the Marley books but this one was especially well done.  I enjoyed the trip through a firehouse, both with and without Marley!  I think this book shines a positive light on a firefighters work life.  I would recommend this book for any child to read!

ROCB: Lost and Found

Lost and Found

Review of Childrens Book Lost and Found

What an enjoyable story about a lost hat!  A young boy goes in search of his lost hat in the school’s lost and found.  Reading about all the different items found in the lost and found box is a fun read.  I liked how the story ended.   I thought the author did a very good job by adding in a couple twists to make the story interesting.  I also enjoyed the illustrations, I thought they were well done and not filled with unnecessary items.  I gave this book 5/5 stars.

ROCB: Marvin Makes Music

Marvin Makes Music
Review of Childrens Book Marvin Makes Music

What a wonderful book for any child who enjoys music.  This story is especially great for any child who is not that into practice time.  I gave this book 5/5 stars.  The illustrations are phenomenal and really help in the telling of the story.  I thought the idea behind the book was great and the author told a compelling story.  I think any child who plays some kind of musical instrument will enjoy this story and maybe even be encouraged to sit down and practice!

ROCB: Ready or Not Here Comes Scout

Ready or Not, Here Comes Scout
Review of Childrens Book Ready or Not Here Comes Scout!

I loved how all the dogs were drawn in this story.  I gave this book 4/5 stars.  The story is about a dog and his special stuffed friend he likes to take with him. At first he does not want to play with any of the other dogs but over time he starts enjoying the other dogs just as much as his stuffed  friend.  I enjoyed the story and really liked the illustrations.
