Who Is The Holy Spirit

Who is the Holy Spirit? is by Stonecroft Ministries.

This was an informative book. Really a study book this was filled with information on the Holy Spirit.

You will have to do some research to get through this book. There are questions that will make you think and some of them aren’t really answered in the small text that is there. This book is best for a small group. By using this in a group setting you can discuss the questions and get answers from others with a different viewpoint.

There are only six chapters in this book. Some of the pages in the chapters are filled with scriptures. This is not just a reference but the verses are written out for you. I like books better that give more information and have you look up the verses for yourself.

I gave this book 4/5 stars for a couple reasons. The first reason being I thought this would be a more in depth study then it turned out to be. The second reason is I thought the questions included could have been more deep, meaning they were not that helpful in learning more about the Holy Spirit. All that said if you were looking for a group study about the Holy Spirit this book would be a good start.

I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

Review for Postmark Christmas

Postmark: Christmas is written by Paige Winship Dooly, Darlene Franklin, Kathleen E. Kovach, Paula Moldenhauer

This book is a four in one book with four stories that are connected by the town of Christmas, Florida. Each author writes a unique story that takes place in the town. Each story is different and each author writes in her own style.

I liked the individual stories and found each one to be entertaining. I thought they all had just enough romance to keep you reading. I liked how the characters interacted and their conversations flowed well. None of the stories were boring and each one could really stand on its own as an easy to read romance.

I gave this book 5/5 stars. I liked how the stories were all centered on the post office in town. I liked that the stories were each different yet all were connected. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun romance book that is also a quick read.

Review of Twang

Twang is written by Julie Cannon.

Jennifer is sure that being a country music star will be everything she has dreamed it should be. After a few years of struggling she finally gets her break. Will it be everything she needs or will it leave her wanting something different?

This book has a great story line. A young person wanting to be a music star and getting more then they expected. I liked that it wasn’t’ a book about just positive things that happened to the character. I liked that hardships were shown as well as a real relationship with the Lord.

The book was well written and the story flowed well. The main characters, especially Jennifer, could really be just about any young person starting out in the music industry. I thought her actions were true to her character, meaning the actions she took were in step with who she was portrayed as.

I gave this book 5/5 stars because the story held my interest and the characters were enjoyable.

Review of Westward Hearts

Westward Hearts is written by Melody Carlson and published by Harvest House Publishing.

This is book one in the new series Homeward on the Oregon Trail. I do enjoy any book by Melody Carlson! Because of the author, I thought I should give this book a try. I am glad I did, as the story is more of an adventure then a romance and definitely kept my attention.

Elizabeth has been a widower for three years now and decides it is time to follow her dream and move west with her children. When her family comes along with her she could not be happier. The story is set in the mid 1800’s so you know they are traveling by wagon train! The description of the trip is very well written. You can almost feel the heat and dust! One matter Elizabeth is not ready for is falling in love. Will the wagon train guide, Eli, change her mind? The children in the book are adorable. I liked every scene they were in!

There was a lot I liked about the story. From the setting to the wonderful interaction of the children with all the other characters the book has many positive points. I only gave this book 4/5 stars though, because I thought it was a slow moving story and did not have enough romance between the two main characters.
