Review of Bluegrass Bachelors

NEW Bluegrass Bachelors by Jennifer Johnson Paperback Book (English)
Bluegrass Bachelors is published by Barbour Books.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  I liked all the stories but the first one was the best!  The concept of the stories is a set of guy friends who all make an agreement to not get married or at least outlast each other.  It seems like a great idea until they meet women that win their hearts.  The first story is about Drew and Addy.  They have known each other for years but something changes for them when Addy has to move back home for awhile.  Their interactions are well written and believable.   I gave this book 5/5 stars.  I thought each story was linked to the others very well.  The stories were great on their own but having them all together in one book was perfect.  I would recommend this book for anyone who likes easy to read loves stories.

I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading.  I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

Review of Hill Country Cattleman

NEW Hill Country Cattleman - Kingery, Laurie
Hill Country Cattleman is published by Love Inspired.

This story follows the relationship of Violet and Raleigh.  They come from two different worlds, yet seem to be attracted to each other at first site.  Violet is from England where she lived a very plush life.  Raleigh is a farm hand in Texas.  When Violet is sent to Texas to live with her brother she meets Raleigh and how they come to know each other is the whole of the story.

I gave this book 4/5 stars.  I thought the idea of the story was a great one.  How the characters meet and get to know each other is entertaining.  The problems started with the main character of Violet who was a bit confusing.  She could be bold at times and then be very weak at others.  I did like the minor characters and thought they helped the story flow.  The character of Drew, a man who steps in and wants to marry Violet, was written the best.  The biggest problem with the story was there were not enough interactions between Violet and Raleigh.  There was just too much introspection and not enough conversations.  I do think the story itself is cute though and worth a read!
