What a town! With many story lines this book is full and overflowing with characters. I enjoyed how the characters were all intertwined and the stories overlapped. I did not like the slow parts and felt there were parts in the story that were just too wordy!
The story takes place around a new minister who comes to town and the ladies of the church who decide to play matchmaker. The other stories are all well written as well as this one and you will find yourself drawn to the interesting story lines. The characters themselves will probably remind you of people you know or at least you will feel like they could be!
I liked the authors friendly writing style. I do think parts of the book could have been taken out and it would not have taken anything away from the story. That said, it was a fun story with memorable characters so I gave this book 4/5 stars.

This is a very informative book. I liked how he presented his ideas and based them on Biblical references. You may not agree with all he has written but you can not deny that he presents good arguments. I found the book an easy read and enjoyed the many verses that were presented.
There were so many great parts to this book. I found whoever would listen and read them different sections and it started some great discussions! Some agreed with what was presented and others ran to get their Bibles so they could look up the verses mentioned for themselves.
I think this is a great resource for anyone wanting to learn more about the Antichrist. I found it to be easy to understand and think it would work perfectly for a Bible study or for family devotions. I gave this book 5/5 stars as it deserves it for all the information and the many Biblical references the author used to support his ideas.

The Last Plea Bargain 
is written by Randy Singer and Published by Tyndale House Publishers.
This book has a lot going on at once but the author writes well and draws all the stories together. This is my first book by Randy Singer and I really enjoyed the complex story lines. I have always enjoyed books about lawyers and this book did not disappoint!
The main character, Jamie Brock, is known for never offering a plea-bargain in any case she has worked on. This story follows her as she deals with the criminals in her jurisdiction rejecting all plea bargains offered and causing their cases to go to trial. This is too much for the court system to handle and many go free because of small mistakes made in their cases. There are other stories going on at the same time as this main one and because of that this book really reminded me of some of the popular television shows that are on right now. Stories within stories that are fast paced and all get solved or dealt with by the end.
The book was a very quick read as I easily read chapter after chapter. It was fast paced and I enjoyed the characters and how they were written to interact with each other. I can definitely say I will be reading all of Randy Singers’ books!

Almost Amish, One Woman's Quest for a Slower, Simpler, More Sustainable Life is written by Nancy Sleeth and published by Tyndale House Publishers.
This was not the book I was expecting to read. First, the concept, the author is trying to relate ways to simplify your current lifestyle to make it more like the Amish. She writes about different categories in which we can take a step back and simplify what we do or how we live. Second, the problem, this is more of a tree hugging book then a Jesus hugging book. I am not saying the whole book is bad just that I felt it went a bit far into the living for the earth then it did in living for Jesus.
There are some positive ideas in the book about simplifying your lifestyle. Some people may find these ideas helpful and implement them right away. I don’t think the author meant for it to sound preachy but at times it really did feal like she was saying do these things or you are a bad person! I am not saying don’t read this book, just that if you do, make sure you read it with the understanding that this is only one person’s view on ways to simplify your life.
I gave this book 3/5 stars because although the author had some great personal examples, I just did not like all the ideas and manner in which she presented them.

There are not many books on the Resurrection so when I saw this book I was very interested in reading it. It did not disappoint! After reading this book you will never doubt the significance of the resurrection of Christ. Easter will not just be another holiday but a day to reflect on all Christ has given you by rising from the dead.
This book was laid out in a very easy to follow format. The language was very understandable and all the content was relevant. I liked the ample usage of Biblical references to help make his points. I especially enjoyed his writing style, as it was direct as well as instructional. I gave this book 5/5 stars because it was a well written and informative book about a subject not often written about.

Do you believe that you were created for a purpose? How do you stay on course once the Lord points you in a certain direction? This book is a great tool to use when answering these questions and many more. The concept of the book is that we have been given a frequency or a certain spot or area on this earth at this particular time to be a witness for Christ.
I liked that this book stresses how we each are here for a reason and do have a purpose. I liked how it offered ways to stay focused on your "God-given frequency." Although there was helpful information there were also parts that were redundant and I found my mind wondering. It has enough positive and useful information to help any Christian seeking his purpose on earth and that is why I gave this book 4/5 stars.

Cowgirl Trail is written by Susan Page Davis and published by Moody Publishers.
This book is part of the Texas Trail Series and is set in the late 1800’s. The story is about Maggie Porter and her struggle to keep the family ranch. The story itself is interesting and will keep you turning the page to find out what happens next. The characters are unique and keep you guessing about how they will react to the next difficult situation they encounter.
I liked how the women of the town stepped in and helped Maggie. I especially enjoyed the journey to sell the cattle. I actually laughed out loud a few times. All the main characters are well written and develop over the course of the story. The relationships are believable and don’t slow the story down. Overall it was a good Christian western book and I gave it 5/5 stars.
