Wake Up, Generation: You Have A Life…How Will You Use It? This book is written by Paige Omartian.
This book is a great read for any young person. You will be able to relate to this humble young woman. Her advice in this easy to read book will help you grow in your relationship with the Lord.
This is a very practical book with some great examples of living each day for the Lord. Finding your purpose can be so confusing for young people today. The author of this book is still on her journey but what she has learned so far will help each person who reads this.
The retelling of incidents in the authors’ life was well written and easy to read. I thought the book flowed well and came across as a helpful example of how one can use their life to change others. I gave this book 5/5 stars as I thought it was a good read and could be enjoyed by any young person.
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.
These are reviews of the most recent Christian books I have read and enjoyed.

Be The Leader book review
Be The Leader You Were Meant To Be: Lessons On Leadership From The Bible is written by LeRoy Eims.
First this is a reprint of this book. The author passed away in 2004 and the publisher, David C. Cook, decided to release another copy. This book has very practical advice for all Christian leaders.
Helping others become better at their jobs and becoming better people are two main goals of any good leader. The author points to many examples both Biblical and personal. Using the examples from these people’s lives the author shows ways to be an effective leader.
Worried you can’t be a good leader? Following the advice in this book, you will learn to trust the Lord to be your guide. I liked how the author used the example of Moses to reiterate this principle. Unsure of himself, Moses had to trust God to teach him what was necessary to be the leader Israel needed.
Using examples from his own experience helped make this book a personal one. I thought his examples really showed the Lords handiwork and some of the benefits other leaders could have if they rely on the Lord as well. The questions at the end of the book are for a more in-depth study. Working through the questions within a group setting will glean the most benefit.
I gave this book 4/5 stars. I thought some of the writing was a little boring at times. I put the book down and came back to it after a few days. I found it did have some sound advice that would help any leader.

Well-Lived Laugh book review
The Well-Lived Laugh: Designing A Life That Keeps You Smiling is written by Rachel St. John-Gilbert.
A book to help you enjoy your life more? What a great idea! Author Rachel St. John-Gilbert does a good job of presenting her ideas on how to achieve such a life.
The author’s sense of humor is the main draw to this book. You will find yourself laughing along when she tells of some of her personal experiences. Her advice following her stories is presented well. She gives Biblical reference along with her simple advice on subject’s women deal with every day. From losing weight to the pressures of being a Mother, each topic discussed will help with the different situations women encounter every day.
I gave this book 4/5 stars. I thought the advice was practical as well is easy to understand. I did however think there was a little too much humor. I know that is odd to say that but sometimes less is better! The author did well getting her messages across. This would be a good book for any woman to read.

Game Plan Devotional
Game Plan For Life Chalk Talks Devotional is written by Joe Gibbs. This book is published by Zondervan.
This book is said to be a companion book to the Bible version Game Plan For Life in the NIV. I think this devotional can stand on its own.
These devotionals are easy to read and understand. With references to visits at the home depot and planning for a game I think every man will find his examples easy to relate too. The devotions are not very long. Each one starts with a verse and ends with a prayer. I found them to be practical and filled with great advice.
I like how in each devotional you find a little of the personality of the author. In one devotional he talks about he is just an "average Joe" like every one else. He says that in his life he is always looking for help to make it through and has found the Bible to be his greatest resource.
I gave this book 5/5 stars. I liked how practical it was. I enjoyed the easy to understand and short devotionals. I would recommend this book as a gift for any Christian man, especially those who are on the lookout for a devotional book.

Review for Be A Motivational Leader
Be A Motivational Leader: Lasting Leadership Principles is written by LeRoy Eims.
This practical book will give you some easy to follow steps to becoming a leader that motivates his team.
I liked the practical advice in this book. Some of the chapters are about being a caring leader and being a working leader. There are others but these two chapters stood out to me. I think any one in leadership should read this book and will find that these two chapter alone could change how they lead in a positive way.
Being a caring leader does not mean you sit there and listen to everyone’s problems all day. It does mean showing some heart when needed. Being a working leader is especially important. It can be a great motivator watching those in authority over you working as hard or harder then you are!
I gave this book 5/5 stars. I liked the easy to understand advice. I liked his personal examples and thought they really helped with understanding the principle he was teaching. I found this book to be helpful in many areas and think it would be a great book for any leader to read.

Central Park Rendezvous Book Review
Central Park Rendezvous is written by Kim Vogel Sawyer, Ronie Kendig, Dineen Miller, and MaryLu Tyndall. It is published by Barbour Publishers.
The stories in this book takes place in different time periods but the authors bring the stories together very well. I have read many of these four-in-one books. This particular book is unique in how the story lines are tied together.
Some of these four-in-one books have stories that could really stand-alone. They may relate to each other but you could read one and enjoy it without reading the others. Central Park Rendezvous is different in that you have to read all of them to get the full story. I liked that about this book. Written this way by these great authors gives the book a novel feel instead of four separate stories.
I gave this book 5/5 stars. I liked the characters in each story. I enjoyed the settings and thought they made each story unique. Each author writes her part of the story very well. They all flow well together. The book itself has a conclusion you will enjoy. I liked the historical aspects in this book as well. If you like Christian historical fiction with a touch of romance, you will enjoy this book!

Review for Unglued
Unglued, Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions is written by Lysa Terkeurst.
The author agrees with me, every woman has those moments where she is frustrated with everything that is happening around her! You want to change your attitude or reaction but you feel like it just doesn’t get any better. This book is about ways to accept that there will be no over night change and that we are all a work in progress.
The author calls this progress imperfect progress because we are moving forward in changing ourselves but there is no automatic change. We need to remember that we are seeking some kind of progress towards an attitude change not an instant change.
The best message from this book is that God made you. He does not give up on you and will always love you, even if you do still have a wrong attitude and react badly on certain days. Just keep improving and you will continue to grow spiritually.
I gave this book 4/5 stars because I liked the concept of the book but felt it fell a little flat when presenting what the author considered solutions to our frustrating moments.
