Review of Prayers for a Woman's Soul

I loved this book and have every intention of giving other copies as presents.  These devotionals are short enough to read them when you don’t have a lot of time but also deep enough that you will be thinking about them all day!   The verses go perfectly with the encouraging writing for the day.  I enjoyed the author’s personal stories and felt uplifted by the author’s writings.  I gave this book 5/5 stars.  I would recommend it to any woman looking for a devotional book for themselves or one to give as a present.

Review of What A Difference A Mom Makes

What a difference a Mom really can make!  After reading this book you will have a different opinion about how much influence a Mom can have on her son.  I gave this book by Kevin Leman a 5/5 stars.  I thought the book had some great advice and was very easy to understand.  I liked how open the author was with his many personal examples.  I especially liked how the writing helped the subject move from one subject to the next.  The sections on discipline and understanding of how a males mind works were especially enlightening.  This book is perfect for every mom with a son and I would recommend it as a perfect present.  I even think it could be used as a study book for a Sunday School class.  This is a must read book!

Review of A Love Surrendered

This book is the third in the series called Winds of Change written by Julie Lessman.  I highly recommend you read the others in the series before reading this one.  I gave this book 5/5 stars.  This book is a wonderful love story.  The author does an excellent job of creating lots of different emotions for her characters.  I would call this a drama filled story and that is what made it so good.  The main characters of Annie and Steven are great characters and you can’t help but cheer for them as their relationship grows.  I have to say that even the sub stories are excellent!  I would recommend this book for any Christian woman who wants to read a romance that will keep them entertained for the whole story!

Review of The Enchanted Truth

This is a short book and that can be a positive or negative when broaching the subject of finding ones prince charming!  This particular book finds a princess needing some help as she searches for her prince.  The advice given is simple yet effective.  The book shows that you need to know yourself before you can start really looking for that other person to complete you.  I liked how it was written as a fun fairy tale yet offered some great real life advice for the reader.  I gave this book 4/5 stars.  Although I enjoyed the book it was not a book I would read again.  I also did not think that if given as a book it would really help the recipient and therefore cannot recommend it as a present either.  That said, if you are looking for a fun read about finding your prince charming you will most likely enjoy this book!
